Annual Wedding Fair

Hundreds of couples attended the recent ‘Perfect Bliss Wedding Fair’ on 22nd January 2012 at Lagan Valley Island.

Thirty five exhibitors were on hand to help the future brides and grooms plan their perfect day. The exhibitors came from Lisburn and further afield to this popular annual event which attracts a large number of couples.

Of special interest was the ‘Catwalk Extravaganza’, which portrayed the very best in bridal fashion and wonderful outfits to entice the groom, mother of the bride and bridesmaids. The professionally choreographed music and lighting set an electric atmosphere for this catwalk show. A large number of the brides enjoyed this spectacular show.

Councillor Stephen Martin, Chairman of the Council’s Corporate Services Committee, who attended the Wedding Fair, said: “It was a privilege to be able to attend this event and meet engaged couples and to welcome exhibitors to the event. I am recently engaged and this was the first wedding fair my fiancée and I attended.

“Lagan Valley Island is a superb venue for both wedding receptions and ceremonies. To have both under one roof is definitely very appealing to couples of all ages. On the day of the Wedding Fair the building had been dressed for the perfect wedding ceremony and reception to allow those attending to view it ‘in all its glory’,” he concluded.

Council event organisers and registrars were on hand to take the couples through the facility and wedding proceedings.
