An electronic system is now in place to register a death or a stillbirth. From Friday 27 March 2020, the doctor will send the death certificate by email to the General Registrar’s Office. The Registrar will then contact the next of kin or their funeral director and the death will be registered by phone. There will be no need to attend your local Registrar’s office.
Cemetery Administration is facilitated at Lagan Valley Island. To access information on this service please click here. Please note that where possible we would prefer all payments to be by credit/debit card.
All events arranged by the council and events hosted in council premises between now and end of June will be postponed. If possible these will be re-arranged at a later date. Ticket holders for the affected events will be contacted in due course. Tickets will remain valid for postponed events and refunds will be processed where appropriate.
Please note that following the closure of Lagan Valley Island to the public, our Box Office is also closed. All patrons requiring refunds will be contacted by our staff in due course and we ask for everyone’s patience while we manage under these changing circumstances.
