You are invited to singalong with the Earlybirds morning choir as part of Positive Aging Month at ISLAND Arts Centre. The Earlybirds Choir is an inclusive casual choir primarily for connection and fun, and all our members currently are retired or part time working women. We don’t take ourselves too seriously and enjoy singing popular songs.
Join us on Wednesday 1st October and Friday 3rd October from 2-4pm (if you wish to attend both sessions, you must book onto each date separately). Community Arts will provide refreshments. This will be a free event for participants and I will send you a link to the event so you can share it also once it is online.
2pm-2.20pm: refreshments meet and greet.
2:20-3pm: The Early Birds Choir
3pm-4pm: refreshments and craft/book swap.

How Does it Feel
Arts Council of Northern Ireland Collection
This curated exhibition, drawn from the Arts Council of Northern Ireland Collection, seeks to explore the innate need to feel connection- with each other, the environment and our inner worlds. This exhibition brings together artworks intended to both stir our senses and still us through their textures, materials and narratives.
Embracing work in a range of different media, including painting, photography, sculpture, craft, video and installation, we are encouraged to be present, feel challenged and to contemplate what we see.
The Arts Council’s contemporary collection represents over twenty years of visual art by artists, from emerging to established, living and working in Northern Ireland. This showcase includes work by artists who are based in the Lisburn and Castlereagh area.
